If you are interested in illuminating any building, then you may consider buying wall packs that are essential fixtures to make a beacon of light.
For adding any brand-new light or while upgrading, using any LED wall packs can offer you a super brightness with incredibly low power. You can use wall pack light in any of the following places:
- Storage Spaces
Following are the few things that you must look for while you are going to buy any LED wall pack to decorate your building.
Power rating is indicated by wattage which is important to decide correct wall pack. Based on the area where you may wish to light, you may choose higher or lower wattage depending upon how large or small the area is. Remember that, for illuminating much larger area, you will need higher wattage and vice versa.
Brightness is measured in lumen, and this term is rarely used for any such fixtures. Most companies prefer to use wattage to describe about lights for decades, and even today that is followed.
However, you must enquire about lumens in order to know about the brightness while shopping for LED wall packs. Your vendor can show you a chart from where you can find the lumens based on the wattage.
3. Damp/wet location rated
While you are shopping any wall packs, this too is arguably another important aspect. Since all these lights are to be used for outdoor location, hence you must ensure that it will keep dust and water out.
Check whether it has any IP rating or not. Also, whether it is UL/CUL/ETL listed that is meant for wet locations. It is necessary to check these things.
By using a photo cell it will be possible for you to allow your fixture to turn on while there is darkness during night and will turn it off once daylight comes and photocell will detect it.
This is meant for conserving the energy since light will only be needed when it is dark. Usually, these need some amount of effort to install in the most of wall packs.
5. Motion sensor
These motion sensors are quite useful and can be great to use for those areas where you will like to light up whenever there are people who are walking by.
Particularly such sensors are needed in the exit area of buildings, pathways, and any occasionally yards. No installation will be needed as all these are installed in factory.
6. DLC listed
In case, you are also looking for energy rebate then this can be important too. Usually, this is relevant to any commercial or industrial settings, where DLC listing can often make or break your decision to select your right fixture.
7. Dark sky compliant
In certain states like California where you also need to check for dark sky compliant, that means photo cells will be needed for outdoor devices.
With this you will be able to reduce energy usage and ensures the lights only when they are needed.
